I have been wanting to do a Kahn Academy style screencast for awhile and finally forced myself to do it! It is… possible… that I spent a bit too much time working out the quirks in the software, and not enough time planning out what the heck I was talking about… but I put enough effort into it, that it would be a shame not to post it. ![]()
The loose goal was to discuss (at least at a high level) the whys and hows of the Power Pivot engine (called xVelocity, and formerly Vertipaq), then use that to framework to give you some practical tips on building your models for performance.
The practical tips will have to come in Part 2, but … hopefully you find Part 1 useful, or at least amusing ![]()
