Now Power Pivot learnings here, just Scott being a total data geek.
I am watching the Chicago Bears holding their own against the Detroit Lions (backup QB for Chicago looks strangely solid)… but because I have massive ADHD like to multi-task I was also looking at this article on where young and old people live.
Being “Data Curious”, I brought in the data from the CIA World Factbook and added a simple ratio… of the male to female median ages.
For example, in the United Arab Emirates, the median age for males is 32 and the median age for females is 25, giving a huge ratio of 1.28. In contrast, in Curacao the male:female is 32.7:39.9 for a tiny ratio of 0.82
I can’t decide if this has interesting “meaning”… somebody should tell me. (Though, what is wildly missing is the actual populations numbers).
Here is the total (male and female) age medians. People in Monaco are freaking OLD. Sadly, as you would expect the numbers for some of the African countries are nothing short of tragic.
Back to the football game. Go Seahawks!
